The pain then can affect other areas of the forefoot (front of the foot) including the toes caused by contractures of ligaments and tendons leading to bunions (turning of the big toe towards the other toes) or your other toes may begin to curl and get stiff (often called hammertoes or claw toes). Certain areas of the brain can become depressed by alcohol addiction, resulting in memory loss and fatigue. Other physical effects from alcohol addiction occur in the liver, digestive tract and other parts of the body. It is always difficult to determine when a baby has a serious condition because they are incapable of overt communication. The parent or guardian must learn to observe health by other methods. Ulcerative colitis is particularly challenging.

Reflex sympathetic dystrophy, or RSD, is also known as complex regional pain syndrome. It is a painful condition that can affect muscles, bones, and skin and possibly gets worse over time. It most often occurs after a person has experienced an injury or a surgery but often there is no distinct reason for it. RSD can go away only to come back in a new area of the body years later. Stomach muscles are important in supporting the back. This exercise strengthens and tones abdominal muscles as well as the back and thigh muscles. Lie on your back with your knees bent and your feet flat on the floor. Tilt your pelvis so that your lower back presses against the floor. Squeeze your buttocks together, tighten your stomach muscles and lift your hips off the floor until your shoulders, hips and knees are in a straight line. Emphysema causes damage to the lungs by reducing their elasticity, making it difficult to exhale air. It may be hard to diagnose because other respiratory conditions have emphysema-like symptoms. While alcohol abuse affects all organs, the liver is most affected. The liver acts a filter, removing toxins from the body. All alcohol consumed must pass through the liver. In moderation, alcohol does not have a lasting unhealthy affect on the liver, but heavy drinking can damage the liver, causing serious and potentially fatal symptoms and conditions.
